Itinerary: |
March 19th meet at 7:00 am in parking lot 1 km up Takakkaw access road. Ski intermrdiate and advanced terrain in treed, glades, open alpine and glacier areas for 4 days. Exit Friday morning.

Sleeping bag, food, avalanche gear, glacier gear, headlamp, helmet, warm clothing.

Skiers must be comfortable on a 22 km ski in with 900 meters vertical up and 130 meters vertical down. This ski in is with big heavy packs. Trail breaking a shared activity; can be heavy. Typical in times are 8 to 12 hours. Previous multi day trip experience a key factor.

It trip gets cancelled or delayed after participants have paid the funds mat be non-refundable. Our section budgets these trips on break even basis. If full compliment $350/person and trip organizers $250. If only 10 then $480/person and trip organizers $380. Expecting trip to be oversubscribed.
Cancellation Policy If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Rocky Mountain Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
