Jeff Bullock of Alpine Air Adventures will guide a group of lucky registrants using the Hilda Hut as a base on the Icefields Parkway in Banff National Park. Registration costs include two nights at the Hilda Hut. 5:1 ratio with instruction and all members having the opportunity to lead the group. Cost includes use of group gear, ropes, screws etc.
Two days of intensive instruction with a summit attempt of A2, Boundary or Hilda peak. Minimum experience is strong hiking and or scrambling experience. This course suits all levels of climbers from beginner to advanced and a great way to further your skills.
Active trip leaders: $350 for course
Required Items to Bring:
Gear list to be sent by Jeff in advance of the course.
Please wait before paying the cost of the course. Register and then wait for an invoice from our lovely treasurer Tracy and pay that one. You can choose to pay via Paypal immediately, but it comes with more fees for us and again, we are not running these on a for profit basis!
Coordinator $350.00 CAD
Member $650.00 CAD
Guest $700.00 CAD
Partial attendance is not possible. Please note that these courses are not run on a 'for profit' scheme and require full attendance to run. If we have to cancel due to lack of registration, it will be at least a month in advance to give the guides some opportunity to book someone or something else. That works the best for the guide, as they appreciate the time to find something else and will consider working with us in the future and for the club, as we are not left in a financially compromising position. Don't sit on your hands expecting you can register at the last minute.
*Cancellation Policy*: If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Rocky Mountain Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
