ACMG guides Kris Irwin and Sarah Hueniken will lead lucky registrants on a three day series of one day on full ice, one day dry tooling and one day mixed climbing. These guides are legends in their craft and we are lucky to have them in their home ground in best area of the world to do it. There is an amount of course flexibility here depending on the registrant skills. All registrants should have fitness and previous experience on ice with modern tools but do not need experience with dry tooling or mixed climbing. Ice and weather conditions may dictate locations for the full ice day but we expect Drive In for dry tooling and Haffner Creek for mixed climbing.
Instruction and coaching will include:
-safety hazards and emergency preparedness
-upgraded rope care and techniques for ice, dry tooling and mixed climbing
-improving your movement on ice, rock and mixed terrain starting with the basics
-gear placement, using ice screws and other protection, directional clues
Other tactics and topics will be presented and coached. Tactics will be constantly revisited by these professionals to provide registrants with improved experience and knowledge.

Notes:
Please wait before paying the cost of the course. Register and then wait for an invoice to your email address from our lovely treasurer Alisen and pay that one. You can choose to pay via Paypal immediately, but it comes with more fees for us and again, we are not running these on a for profit basis.
Payment Options:
Coordinator $280.00 CAD
Member $540.00 CAD
Guest $540.00 CAD
Partial attendance is not possible. Please note that these courses are not run on a 'for profit' scheme and require full attendance to run. If we have to cancel due to lack of registration, it will be at least a month in advance to give the guides some opportunity to book someone or something else. That works the best for the guide, as they appreciate the time to find something else and will consider working with us in the future and for the club, as we are not left in a financially compromising position. Don't sit on your hands expecting you can register at the last minute.
*Cancellation Policy*: If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Rocky Mountain Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
