Itinerary:

This is intended to be a clinic, on the basics of rope management, belay tactics, etc as it pertains to ice climbing. It will be in a cragging environment, so we can bring a bigger group.

Not suitable for total beginners, but if you have done a bit of ice cragging, and just getting into multi pitch climbing thats fine. But also open to more experienced climbers, who want to refresh their skills.

Required Items to Bring:

I will supply 1 rope and rack, so helpful if others can bring a couple more. We can sort that out depending on who signs up.

Everyone will need their own basics - tools, poons, harness, helmet, etc.

Bring lots of hot bevys and snacks - this is intended to be an instructional heavy day, with some cragging thrown in.

How to Get There:
Event Directions:

***Location: TBD. But in the bow valley.

*Cancellation Policy*: If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Rocky Mountain Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
