Itinerary:

==== This trip is for accepted RMS BIT 2024 Participants only ====

==== Please sign up for the correct trip for yourself (Skier/Boarder) (Beginner/Intermediate/Advanced) ====

The trip is 13 km round trip with about 500 m of elevation.  We have allowed for 7 hours to ski in, have some lunch, look around the lake for some pockets of snow and do a few turns, and return to the parking lot.  The snow pack is thin in places, and please use caution before venturing into untracked snow as we found a lot of rocks hidden away!  This is a great route for honing backcountry travel techniques - some narrow-ish track to go up and descend, a few deep ravines to traverse, and some looking around by the lake to see where snow has collected and might be skied.

Required Items to Bring:

AT Skis or Splitboard, Skins, Poles, Avy Gear (3 Antenna beacon, shovel, probe), warm layers, mittens/gloves, toque, food, water, ski straps.  Face mask & hand sanitizer

Recommended Items to Bring:

Helmet, sunscreen, lip protection

Cancellation Policy
If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Rocky Mountain Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
