Radios Demystified with Gabrielle Meszaros- Everything you need to know but hesitated to ask.
Arrive early to purchase a beverage and/or bite at the Mineshaft Tavern before proceeding with your beverage in hand to the projection room.
This will be a fun and interactive session. Be prepared to contribute and to have some fun. Formerly a Canadian National Team 470-class sailboat racer along with her sister, Gabrielle Mesz now lives in Canmore and has been a member of the Alpine Club for over 3 decades. Gaby has been using and programming VHF radios since purchasing a Yaseu Vx-150 in the early nineties.
As well as being a radio nerd, Gaby enjoys mountain biking, whitewater kayaking and ski touring. Eventually, Gaby hopes to return to windsurfing or take up kitesurfing.
*Cancellation Policy*: If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Rocky Mountain Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
