Join us for an evening of tales from the rarely visited areas of the Rocky Mountains- underground and underwater! Cave diving is not a sport usually associated with the mountainous regions of Canada, however there are a select few exploring the local subterranean world beneath our feet.
Tom Crisp will be presenting on several cave diving projects he has been involved with in conjunction with the Alberta Speleological Society, most notably a trip to Castleguard (Canada's longest cave) in 2020. The team have been actively exploring both underwater and dry passages to better understand the geology and natural wonders hidden inside the mountains. This presentation will showcase photos, videos and data collected from multiple expeditions spanning Eastern BC to Alberta.
Cancellation Policy If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Rocky Mountain Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
