Itinerary:

Celebrate Thanksgiving with me by scrambling out in the mountains! This will be a pretty big day and we will possibly be doing part of the descent in the dark. About 20km and 1600 m elevation, give or take. The (hopefully) cool weather should help us move a little quicker, which will help.

Supposed to be one of the more memorable scrambles in the area, with some solid holds and a stretch or difficult scrambling, with more moderate scrambling throughout the ridge.

Required Items to Bring:

Helmet, bear spray, lots of water, headlamp, clothing for the weather

Recommended Items to Bring:

scrambling gloves, camera

How to Get There:
Carpool Departure Time:   07:30 AM
Carpool Location:   Banff
Carpool Directions:

Meet at the train station in Banff

Notes:

Please note any previous scrambling experience you may have, as some experience will be key to a safe and successful trip. I am happy to help out and offer pointers when needed, but nothing beats hands-on experience to know your own personal limits and comforts.

Weather is very touch-and-go in October. Trip will be dependent on settled snow, and day-of weather.

Cancellation Policy
If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Rocky Mountain Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
