Itinerary: |
Meet at 5:00 pm ready to scramble about 5.5 km return to Door Jam Mountain. Loder Peak is only 700m further so keeners may be able to also do Loder Peak. We will either eat on the route, or back at the vehicles - or a combination of the two, pending group preference. BYO food/snacks and water. This is not a hike; it's a scramble with some basic route finding and mostly on rock so wear grippy shoes and be prepared to use both hands.
|
Required Items to Bring: |
Wear grippy shoes and clothing appropriate for scrambling and the weather. Bring a warm layer. Bring bear spray. Bring your own picnic/snacks and water/beverage. The ticks are abundant in this area - dress appropriately and check carefully for ticks upon completion of the scramble.

|
Notes: |
The trailhead for Door Jam Mountain and Loder Peak is 16km from turnoff on 91 on the 1A toward Canmore/Eshaw

Cancellation Policy If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Rocky Mountain Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
