Itinerary: |
This will be a long day out on light touring skis. Options include Skoki/Fossil Mtn Loop (about 35 km) or Healy/Redearth Loop (about 32km).

Required Items to Bring: |
light touring skis, skins, poles, boots; avalanche gear; warm layers, food and drink. Personal first aid kit (blister kit) and repair items for your bindings. We may consider applicants with AT gear, but preference will be for those who have light touring skis as it's a long day.

Recommended Items to Bring: |
Emergency communication device, rescue gear (tarp) - if you have these items, please bring them. Trip leader will have an emergency device and a light bivy sac.
If carpooling, please bring some cash to help cover gas costs.

If you are interested in this trip, please add yourself to the waitlist with a note to the trip leader about your backcountry ski training and experience. Participants are prescreened prior to being accepted on the trip.

Cancellation Policy If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Rocky Mountain Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
