Itinerary:

Let's close off this amazing fall season with an awesome adventure: Hike the Highest maintained trail in the Canadian Rockies!


07.15 am meet up by Pigeon parking lot to carpool to Kananaskis. Start hiking at Ribbon Creek by 8.30am and hike all the way back to Pigeon / Dead Mans - approx 20km, including a summit of Mt Allan. Then, retrieve vehicle(s) from Ribbon Creek.

Required Items to Bring:

Hiking boots, backpack, food, Lots of water and your enthusiasm.


Recommended Items to Bring:

Poles.

To leave at Pigeon parking lot (in vehicle): Extra water, refreshments and after-hike nourishments.

This trip requires a shuttle/ carpool. We will email carpooling directions on Saturday once the final participant list is determined.

If we have not hiked or scrambled together before, please expect to fill out a screening questionnaire. We want to ensure a compatible and enjoyable group for everyone!




Cancellation Policy
If a participant is unable to attend a paid course or trip, there will be no refund unless the participant finds a suitable replacement that is acceptable to the trip coordinator. Acceptable waiting list candidates will have priority. It will then be the participant's responsibility to recover funds from the replacement. If the coordinator cancels an event, participants get a refund (less any non-recoverable costs). Note that ACC National does not refund hut fees due to weather, delay, closures, or any other reasons. The Rocky Mountain Section of the ACC is a not for profit club and we only charge attendees what it costs us to provide courses or trips.
