Itinerary:

Meet at the Fire Lookout trailhead. Depending on group, we can ski directly to the Fire Lookout and back. For those with more energy, we can ski to Elk Pass, and then tackle the Fire Lookout from the other side, and then ski down to the trailhead. This is about 18 km with 470m elevation.

Please note this area is not groomed and skier set tracks only.

Trail breaking might be required.

Required Items to Bring:

Skis - I will be on heavier light touring skis, but regular cross-country skis is fine.

Wax - bring a variety

Skins - I have shorties, but herring bone is fine the entire way.

If going for the full 18 km, bring appropriate layers.

Recommended Items to Bring:

Hot thermos of tea.

How to Get There:
Event Directions:

There is a SMALL pull out next to Mount Roberta. As this lot is so small, carpooling is highly recommended. There is NO parking on the road.

The parking lot is pinned on Google Maps.

Carpool Departure Time:   07:00 AM
Carpool Location:   TBD based on participants
Carpool Directions:

CAR POOLING:

I am leaving from the deep south and driving via Longview. If anyone is down south, we can meet for a carpool.

Northern People: Please connect to arrange a carpool.

Please chip in for gas money. In the past it was $20, but with gas prices being so high, I'm recommending $25 pp.

Notes:
